What is the minimum completed age for class 1 in Kendriya Vidyalaya admission 2023-24?
The minimum age to apply for class1 in Kendriya Vidyalaya schools has been revised from the last academic year was 6 years. The same age rule will be followed in the academic year 2023-24 in all Kendriya Vidyalaya schools.

New Eligibility Age Rule for Class 1 Admission in Kendriya Vidyalaya 2023-24
A Student must be 6 years old as of 31st March 2023 for Class I (A child born on 1st April 2023 will also be considered.)
Eligibility Criteria for KV School Admission

Note: The maximum age limit can be relaxed by two years in the case of Differently abled children by the Principal.
There is no age restriction for admission to Class XI provided the student is seeking admission in the year of passing the Class X examination. Similarly, there will be no upper & lower age limit for admission to class XII provided there has been no break in the continuous study of the student after passing class XI.
Those whose age is completed 6 Years as of 1.4.2023, will be eligible for class 1 admission in Kendriya Vidyalaya schools.
Those who are all born on 1st April 2017 (1.4.2017) are eligible to apply for class 1 admission in all Kendriya Vidyalaya schools.
The date of birth of your child should be given in the application of the Signup process. The date should not be modified at any cost. So, parents are advised to enter the correct date of birth of the child.
The minimum age for admission to class 1 is 6 years and the maximum admissible age is 8 years as of 01/04/2023, with a 2-year relaxation in the upper age limit for “Differently-Abled” candidates.
Thus, the allowed range of date of birth of a child seeking admission is 1.04.2015 to 1.04.2017 for applications not in the “Differently Abled” category. The allowed range of date of birth of a child seeking admission in the “Differently Abled” category is 1.04.2013 to 1.04.2017. If the entered date of birth does not live in the above-mentioned range, sign up/registration will not be allowed.”

KV Admission 2023-24 for Class 1
The Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) has set the eligibility age for admission to Class 1 for the academic year 2023-24. To be eligible for admission, children must be six years old as of 31 March 2023. This means that children born between 1 April 2016 and 31 March 2017 are eligible for admission. In addition, children born before 1 April 2017 may be considered for admission under the revised guidelines of KVS. So, the minimum eligibility age for admission to Class 1 in KV is six years old and the maximum age is 8 years old as of 31 March 2023.
