India Post Office GDS Recruitment 2023, Apply Online For 40889 Vacancy

India Post has vacancies for the positions of Branch Postmaster (BPM)/Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)/Dak Sevak under the Gramin Dak Sevak (GDS). Applications will be accepted online from January 27 to February 16, 2023, on India Post’s official website, www.indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.

Candidates may, however, edit their applications from February 17 through February 19, 2023.

Applicants for GDS positions must have finished the 10th grade and be between the ages of 18 and 40. India Post would choose individuals based on their 10th grade results. Salary ranges for selected candidates range between Rs. 12,000 and Rs. 24,470.

1. Educational Qualification

All allowed categories of GDS must have a secondary school pass certificate from any recognised Board of School Education operated by the Government of India, State Governments, or any of India’s Union Territories. They must also have a passing grade in both English and Mathematics.

2. Age limit for India Post GDS

The age of the candidate should not be more than 40 years old and should not be less than 18 years old. Otherwise, they will not be considered for this position.

(i) Anyone running for elective office will not be considered.

How will candidates be chosen for the India Post GDS Recruitment 2023?

• India Post would create a merit list to narrow down the applicants.
• The basis for compiling the Merit List will be the students’ aggregated percentile rank from the Secondary School Examination of the 10th Standard of Approved Boards, calculated to four decimal places.
• Each course must be completed successfully according to the standards set by the relevant accrediting board.
• Candidates whose Secondary School Examination of 10th Standard mark sheets included grades or grades and points will have only their overall marks calculated by adding up their grades in all required and optional subjects (excluding electives).
• This will ensure that only those with the highest grades are considered for employment.
